Welcome to Cloud 9 Photography Scenic and Wildlife Galleries! The images in this Gallery were captured on a fishing trip to the Flat Tops, and on a hike up the Hanging Lake trail. The Flat Tops Wilderness area is one of our favorite places in Colorado, and we have been exploring and fishing this area for many years. In 2002, I was on a hike up to Boulder and Big Fish lakes when the the 'Big Fish' fire started, and was lucky enough to get out of there before I was overtaken by the fire. The fire was started by lightening, burned down the Big Fish river valley and over to Trappers Lake, burning over 17,000 acres. The images contained here were taken in the areas around Boulder and Trappers lakes, seven years after the fire. Also in this gallery are some images of the beautiful waterfalls of Spouting Rock, Hanging Lake, and Dead Horse Creek, high up into the steep walls of Glenwood Canyon.
